I was riding bikes in New York with a friend and he pointed over to this mural of racecars and said, “That is my favorite muralist in the city.” To be honest, I had seen the murals in passing before but never really gave them much attention. I started noticing them more and more, really taking a liking to them. They have a naïve, childish, and playful feel. While the majority of murals in New York have a serious tone, it’s comforting to see something light. They are the creations of local artist, Mitchell Schorr, and one of my favorite details about his races are the ice cream truck that often makes an appearance.
